Since inception, the Rotary Club of Grand Bend has contributed well over $1,200,000 to local community projects as well as to international initiatives. Over the past 11 years alone, over $600,000 was raised through the local annual Autumn Indulgence fundraisers.  
 
 
In the past year Rotary has supported the community by donations to groups including:
  • Covid 19 Personal Protective Equipment for local health services; Habitat for Humanity; Lambton Shores Phragmites Community Group and the Jingle Bells Group.
 
In the past year Rotary has supported International projects by
  • Sourcing and shipping a container of food to Mozambique after their Cyclone & crop failures; sourcing and shipping a container of books & school supplies to Durban South Africa (92nd of its kind); committing a minimum of $5000 annually towards eradicating Polio worldwide;  assisted area Rotary Clubs in supporting water projects in Uganda, Cameroon and Kenya.
 
Since May 2020, the Stay-at-Home Gala, co-hosted by Grand Bend Community Foundation and the Grand Bend Rotary Club provided relief for those affected by COVID-19 through donations to:
  • Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre; Grand Bend Area Community Health Centre; South Huron Hospital Foundation; One Care Home and Community Services;  Huron Women’s Shelter; Blue Water Rest Home; Contact House; Community Living; Avon-Maitland School Board for its tutoring program; Starlight Foundation;  The Community Table;  Big Brothers and Big Sisters, South Huron; Blessings; GBACHC; Parkinson’s Society;  Lambton Kent District School Board for tutoring; Alhambra.
